TI-84
The Texas Instrument TI-84 is 100% compatible with the earlier TI-83 Plus. The TI-84 has a faster processor, 2.5 times faster as a matter of fact, and more memory, with 24 KB RAM and 480 KB of Flash ROM. The high-contrast display with 8 lines by 16 characters is clear and very easy to read.

There are 13 useful applications loaded into the TI-84 including Cabri Jr, CBL/CBR, Inequality Graphing, Conic graphing, Science tools, Probability Simulations, StudyCards, TimeSpan, Topics in Algebra Chap.5, Topics in Algebra Chaps. 1-4, and more.

The TI-84 calculator is invaluable for students studying math and sciences, as it is a powerhouse with problem-solving tools and features for analyzing, graphing and the storage of up to 10 full functions.

The graphics are displayed on a split screen which enables students to trace the graphs and scroll through values at the same time.

You’re able to see an equation, the graph and the coordinates all at once with the TI-84. There are numerous plot types available such as normal probability plots, scatter, XY-line, histogram and box and whisker plots.

Features for engineering, calculus, financial, trigonometry and logarithm are accessed, which are all vital tools for advanced analysis.

The TI-84 runs on 4 AAA batteries and one backup silver oxide battery. It features an eco-friendly auto shut-off for energy saving. A hard kickstand slide case comes with the calculator so it can stand up on a table top to be viewed.

The TI-84 is a terrific tool for the classroom. Students can share their work with the entire classroom by connecting their TI-84 to any Texas Instrument presentation device. With its built-in USB port, data transfer to computers is simple.

If you are an advanced science or math student, or a teacher of these subjects, the TI-84 should definitely be on your to-buy list.
